Not sure if it should be posted in this thread, but here's my Logitech Driving Force GT settings that work perfectly for me in LFS.
In Profiler: 101% overall effects. 0% all other otions. Uncheck Centering. Check Allow Game To Adjust. 720 rotation / Also I turn wheel all the way left before plugging it in to callibrate, and I don't touch it while it spins. Then I open Logitech Profiler and start LFS from the profiler. The first time playing = callibrate axes/FF in LFS center it, remove deadzones, then select lock (No need to do this everytime)
In LFS/Options/Controls/ Wheel turn=720 / Wheel Turn compensation=1.00 / Force Str=25 / Th-br axes=seperate / gear shift mode=sequential / clutch=button / handbrake=button / button ctrl rate=6.00 / thr-brk centre=0.00 In LFS/Options/Driver/ Brake help=NO / Gear shift mode=sequential / Auto clutch=[yes] In LFS/Options/Misc/ Gearshift debounce=40ms (Anybody know what this setting is)? biggrin Analogue Steersmooth=0.00
Also (not wheel related - but still has an affect on driving) LFS/Options/View/ Default driver view=In car / Field of view=79 / view offset=0.00 / pitch, rotate, X offset, and Y offset all set to 0.00 / Z offset = 0.005 / move view w animation=yes / mirror offset lat=0.059 / mirror offset vert=0.000 / Draw driverwheel=driverONwheelON / mirror mode=all / clocks mode=real / all the acceleration shifts viewpoint settings are all the way to the left =off / look function=axis / button look=smooth. In Garage/Info Tab: I use CamelClub's set or Pascal's set - 7% fuel (5laps + extra) Fuel to add in pit=0 / Steering Tab - Max Lock=30.0 Controller Wheel turns=720. I know this is probably WAY too much info - but in case there is somebody who just bought a DFGT and doesn't want to spend an hour or two messing around with settings - This is everything that they need to know. Some of my settings are personal taste, but this should give you at least a good idea of the settings to use that will work nicely. Now if only someone could post what force settings to use in Simbin's GTR2 options for DFGT - I like that game, but don't know what settings to use in Force/ low, med, high? how much % etc.. It has preset for G25 but not for DFGT. Thanks!

Yes, analogue steer smooth is for gamepad, so I have it set to 0. In the event some guy who needs alot of help with setting up the wheel for the first time for LFS comes along and reads this - I wanted to show that it should be set at 0. For guys trying to use a gamepad - they will need a high setting in analogue steer smooth to counter their analogue control sticks sensitivity, and they should also reduce the car's lock to lock amount in Garage/Steering Tab. The biggest challenge for gamepad users in LFS - no deadzone options in LFS. I recommend to any guys using a gamepad to find some way of adding a deadzone - perhaps Xpadder or some other program. But the biggest tip for gamepad users is: Don't use a gamepad for LFS if you can help it. LFS creators did not have control pad use in mind when they designed LFS. I can get 1:33's fairly easily with a wheel at AMG GTI - but if I try to use my Xbox360 controlpad - I can only get 1:35's. Control pads handicap you in this game.

Myself and Tur8o both started with GamePads lol ... I even added a GamePad Set-Up guide some time ago for those less fortunate than us wheel owners

Yeah, I strated with a gamepad too. It was that experience that motivated me to buy a wheel. Hey, I think I just came up with a nice little addition to this thread of wheel settings. My perfect F1 2010 DFGT settings. With these settings F1 2010 feels as good as LFS, to me anyways. Hard to believe huh? It's true! Tip: until you learn the tracks - use the view that is like a cam mounted just above the drivers helmet, helps to see otherwise blind corners.
Logitech Profiler = 101% overall effects / 0% everything else / check Center Spring but still 0% / 360 rotation or more if you want to make more delicate steering adjustments, but the higher you go - the harder it is do hairpins. And the lower your rotation is - the more jerky your movements. I like 360 / Check Allow game to Adjust Settings.
In Game Options = control profile DFGT / steering deadzone = 0% / steering saturation=65% / steering linearity=55% / throttle deadzone=0% / Throttle saturation=100% / Brake Deadzone=0% / Brake saturation=100% Feedback=ON / Environmental Effects=10% / Feedback Strength=100% very important / Wheel weight=0% very important

Try these settings on F1 2010 and enjoy! If you have a sucky pc, try disabling just the Anti Aliasing as that hogs the most juice I think. Fortunately I can play at full speed with all graphics up, and it sure is pretty.

Okay.. sorry folks but I accidentally put the wrong settings for F1 2010 - oops! I hadn't played it in awhile and just copied my F1 2010 settings into the thread. Today I went to play it and it felt wrong - then I remembered that my friend was the last to play it, and he screwed around with the settings. So.. Here are the correct settings: profiler degrees of rotation at 270 / overall effects 101% all other profiler effects at 0%, check allow game to adjust. In game options, advanced wheel settings: Steering Deadzone at 0% / Steering Saturation at 100% / Steering Linearity at 65% / Throttle and Brake Deadzones at 0% / Throttle and Brake Saturations at 100%. In game options, Force Feedback Options: Feedback - ON / Environmental Effects at 20-40% depending on how much you care about the lifespan of your wheel / Feedback Strength at 100% / Wheel Weight - I use 50%, but this is up to your tastes. OK... These settings are definately nice for F1 2010 with a Logitech wheel, I've been using these settings to break lap records all day. Feels great!
