Introducing The [AMG] GT MotorSport Race Server

Hi Racers , we have decided to have a change around with our Rotation Server its now called [AMG] GT MotorSport . it runs three different classes of cars , with two races for each class ... all the cars run with no restrictions and you don't need to earn points or licenses to drive any of the cars that are available , once the six races have been completed it will then rotate to the next track (type !tr to see next car/track combo) . a licensing system has been put in place for all the tracks so you can see when your improving , and speedtraps have also been added .

[AMG] GTR+GTL Rotation Server Is Now Online

As many of our regular server users have asked for some different track combination's on our [AMG] GTR MotorSport Server , we here at Team [AMG] have decided to put up a FULL 47 slot GTR (FXR , FZR , XRR) and GTL (UFR , XFR) only Track Rotation Server , its currently running with "NO RESTRICTIONS" on any of the GTR or GTL cars . there is a 15 track combination comprising of :

(1) Fern Bay Black (FE4)   FXR FZR XRR XFR UFR      = 4 Laps
(2)   South City Chicane Reverse (SO6r) XFR UFR     = 5 Laps
(3)   Westhill International (WE1)   XFR UFR                = 5 Laps
(4)   Kyoto Ring Oval (KY1) FXR FZR XRR                    = 12 Laps
(5)   Aston National (AS3) XFR UFR                              = 5 Laps
(6)   Kyoto National (KY2) XFR UFR                              = 4 Laps
(7) Blackwood GP (BL1) FXR FZR XRR                        = 5 Laps
(8)   Aston Club (AS2)   XFR UFR                                     = 5 Laps
(9)   South City Classic (SO1) XFR UFR                      = 5 Laps
(10) Aston Historic (AS4)   FXR FZR XRR XFR UFR       = 4 Laps
(11) Westhill International (WE1)   FXR FZR XRR        = 5 Laps

All the above tracks have custom layouts with braking lines marked on the track , these have been put there to help drivers who maybe unsure of the track .

Look for [AMG] GTR+GTL Rotation in the Multiplayer list

There will be 3 races on each track before rotating to the next in the list . all the races will be sprint races , so no pit stop is required . the FULL Version of Airio will be running things and if you type in !track or !tr it will tell you what track is next and how many laps the race will be . this is our way of saying thanks to all our friends within the LFS community who have supported our servers and our website . this track listing is not set in stone and we are always open to suggestions for different track combination's , we hope you enjoy the racing .

Triple Race Event Every Wednesday Night

This will run every Wednesday night on the [AMG] GTR Events server , this server will lock automatically at 18:00 GMT , you do not have to sign up to take part but you must do a Qualifying time within 103% of the World Record for whatever GTR car you have chosen to drive . there will be no restrictions on any of the GTR cars at this time , so just turn up on the night and have a great nights racing .

Minimum Time to Qualify FXR = 1:43.77
Minimum Time to Qualify FZR = 1:42.75
Minimum Time to Qualify XRR = 1:43.31

Lapper Is Dead ... LONG LIVE AIRIO !!!

Hi ,

Some of you will know that i have been struggling of late with the Insim (Lapper) this isn't to say that Lapper is a bad product ... its more down to my lack of knowledge with it .
So anyway i decided a change of approach was needed , and i got in touch with EQ Worry the developer of Airio ... he has provided us with an absolutely awesome piece of equipment to compliment your Live For Speed experience . check it out on any of our 3 servers as its running on all .
I would like to personally thank EQ Worry for all his time and effort in making this possible , and also Franky from 500servers.com for lending me a server to test Airio on while we developed its config , and also to thank him with his assistance in keeping Lapper going ... i'm sure i speak for all [AMG] team members and regular racers when i say "Thank You"

Why There Is No Kick or Ban Options On Our Servers

Hi , i received this E-mail from a fellow racer that regularly uses our main GTR server , his question is one i get asked a lot so i thought i would add it to the main page . i have removed his name out of courtesy , if he wants me to add it then send me an E-mail and i will gladly do so .

" Hallo racers,

I would like to ask you why on your servers there is no possibility to vote to put away the drivers that apparantly ruin a game. I know that option to vote to kick or ban may become unfair in some cases to someone. But you have very frequent sites now and unfortunately some racers are quite rude.

Please consider.

My reply as follows :

" Hi xxxxxx ,

The reason is answered in your own statement - i quote " I know that option to vote to kick or ban may become unfair in some cases to someone " ... that is why we don't have it enabled , because in most cases accidents are just that they are not done with malice or intent , they just lack race experience on a big grid ... now if we were like some other server operators who kick or ban at the drop of a WTF! or OMG! then the racers with little experience would never get anywhere , there are many regular users now that can do within 1.5 seconds of the WR , whereas 6 weeks ago they were 10 seconds off from it ... in time there will be more and as there race skill increases the racing will get better . our server is very popular because we are tolerant and we understand these things , on the other hand if someone is there obviously causing chaos then our website has all he relevant information on the forum with how to report this to us if an Admin is not present on the server . i will just add that we have enabled no midrace re-join , so now this has stopped a lot of racers joining the server and entering the track after the race has begun ... which in our opinion is unfair to the racers who have started from the grid , this we find has stopped a lot of unnecessary accidents . with regards to your statement about some racers being rude , unfortunately i can't do much about that ... but racers that are swearing and verbally abusing other racers are generally removed from the server if seen by an Admin .

The Blue Flag & Its Meaning

This morning I was on the server and one racer started a verbal fight with me in the global chat saying that I was wrong about the "Blue Flag" rule . He kept telling me that "Wikipedia" has "FIA" rules and they state that the blue flag means fast car approaching , So to be fair i logged on Wikipedia and this is what it says :

THE BLUE FLAG :

A light blue flag , sometimes with a diagonal yellow , orange , or red stripe , informs a driver that a faster car is approaching and that the driver should move aside to allow one or more faster cars to pass . During a race , this would usually only be shown to a lapped driver , but during practice or qualifying it could be shown to any driver . In some series , the blue flag is not mandatory - drivers obey it only as a courtesy to their fellow racers . In other series , drivers get severely penalized for not yielding or interfering with the leaders , including getting sent to the pits for the rest of the race .

From now on people who want to make drama on the server about something which you are not sure of please make sure you know what you talk about and try to keep it off the server , as it is disturbing to other racers .
