| Hi Everybody,
I am new to LFS, came from GT4 (Playstation).
Bought a S2 license and went for the combo FXR@AS3 which was love at first sight.
When I finsihed the GT4 game I thought I learnt to drive until I saw your stats on AS3...
Sincerely, your numbers are intimidating and I dont think I can come close.
However, I would like to improve my PB.
After 300 Laps I reached 1:43.03 and I seem stuck with it.
This is what I 've done already:
>300 Laps
Downloaded Tur8os setup.
Another generous soul of AMG sent me his set-up (DoPepe?),
(Funny thing is that with both setups I did exactly the same PB lap time.)
I read the "Short ASTON Tutorial"
I am studying the replay of Tur8o's WR , especially the way he tackles the last chicane .
I would like to know how you managed to improve you PB.
Is there more info on how to tackle the 3 corners?
How can you brake best without locking the wheels?
Should i use 'braking help' ?
Of course, there is no substitute for hard work (laps) but info is always welcome.

| Hi George and welcome to our servers/website ,
Like you stated in your post - there really is no substitute for hard work/practice ... I will also just add that you do not want to use brake assist as this will only slow you down too much .
About the braking technique - I use the brake pedal lightly at certain points so as not to lock the wheels up , as this doesn't allow you to turn in correctly for the turn because you are sliding ... so when I approach the turn I brake hard to scrub off most of the speed then I use less pressure on the pedal so that I can still turn under braking , mastering this technique will find you quite a bit of time .
When your next on the server I will try to show you what I mean as it will be easier for you to see .

| You can type in game server , or we do have a TS3 server which you can connect to via the main page of the website ... but you will need to download TeamSpeak3 and have a working microphone

| Hello people, i'm know on LFS as Krieger776 and as Driver X, i met some of the AMG staff, and i had alot of fun as well, usually doing some laps on AMG demo server (Heck, i'm Demo myself haha ), well, not much to say either, more than, i like to race and chat with people.
Random racer: My car is losing grip, My internet is lagging alot, and my computer is freezing like crazy!

| Ya know I don't think I've ever properly introduced myself in this thread. Whoops!
I'm [AMG] [SMOKE] LFS username = [smoke] (No, I'm not a pothead). I think SMOKE for me came from the fact that I take a lot of smoke breaks in between races. My pb shows as 1:33.27 XFG but that was a slipstream lap. My actual pb without draft is 1:33.45 which I've managed to get 3 times now, still can't seem to go faster than a .45 but I'll get there eventually. I seem to average 1:33.70 in XFG. I don't drive the XRG, and I rarely drive in S2 - allthough I enjoy AS3+FXR, I only have a pb of 1:42.88 at AMG GTR because I've only done 381 laps there whereas I've done 20,634 laps at AMG GTI. I'm currently ranked #4 in the !champ list, behind Sin, Wayne, and Reflex. I'm from Jacksonville, Florida, USA. I was born 09-10-1982, I have a wife that comes home right when I'm in the middle of a race (then I usually get off the server and try to look busy before she walks in). I have 2 kids: Luke and Logan (named after Luke Skywalker, and Logan a.k.a. Wolverine), they are twins and they can usually be found pullling on my wheel or hitting my hotkeys during an important race! I make LFS youtube videos when I can, though I'm not so good at it. [AMG] [Wayne] is my best friend and he doesn't post on here so I'll introduce him as well. He's from Queensland Australia, he's 47 and his pb with XFG is 1:33.50 (which is funny because back when my pb was 1:33.50 he said that his goal was to get a 1:33.50 pb) He's done 25,629 laps. He and I started playing LFS on exactly the same day back in December 2010, I can't remember the day but he does.. We are allmost identical in every way on the track and in the way we view LFS. I've visited him in Australia and he plans to visit me here in the States in 2014. I've got my AMG tattoo but he still hasn't gotten his.. his wife probably wouldn't like that - he plays LFS to the point that it bothers his wife a bit allready hehe.
