| Have done some more bits and bobs to the cockpit over the last weeks so thought it better to update this thread a little... The dash now has some controls, i ripped apart a USB control pad and soldered in some switches and buttons... Also added a USB keypad to the right of the wheel...

| I have also found a set of LFS external (software) dials... You can get it HERE if you are interested Some pics for you of it in action... Added (2009-11-11, 10:22 Pm) --------------------------------------------- Im thinking if i can get hold of a cheap 8" LCD TV/monitor, i can plumb it in above the dash (below the monitor) and hey presto! Instant LCD! dials I just dont wanna pay the prices they are asking on eBay for one! Maybe one day...

Yeah i guess i am mate! I do have other racers installed onto my Racer PC...
Test Drive Unlimited iRacing Race 07 GTR2 rFactor BMW M3 Challenge Race Driver 3 Race Driver GRID Richard Burns Rally Colin McRae DIRT+2+3 NFS:Carbon Truck Racing 2x Schumacher Karting games 3x Offroad 4x4 games 4x different Truck Driving Simulator games
I just think for a realistic driving experience, LFS is the best for me by far...
And with the added bonus of having such a well set up and run team to be a part of, theres no where else i would rather be when indulging in the delights of sim racing!

| Missed out on a Buttkicker today on eBay Was desperate to win it and bid up to £75, but it went for £85, gutted, that would have made my xmas! They are £150 in UK + P&P and i was after getting it half price, but no, it wasn't to be... Am bidding on an 8" LCD TV for my dials/speedometer though, hopefully that one will come through, i'll let you know in 4 days Have also been looking into getting some AMG decals, stickers etc to kit my cockpit out in the AMG colours, logos, theres a pretty good choice on eBay... Dont want it to be tacky though so gotta plan it and do it right... (Kev type AMG into eBay and see what you get back, you be like a kid a sweetshop )

| Finally, got my Digi-dash installed and set-up and working correctly! Took about 2 months to do all the wiring and build it into my cockpit, but its finally done and working fantastically, im loving it! A couple of pics of the wiring i had to complete... 30 odd bits of wire, 60 odd solders, was hell on a stick, needed more patience than i have After completing the solders and building it in, the first time i tested it there was a problem with the 4x 7-seg speed readout, it wasn't functioning correctly, turns out it was a dodgy solder and after re-soldering the first 4 i did, it now works perfectly In the end it turned out good
