| Some huge improvements to 'the project' in the last few months, here is a few pics of whats been happening... The ButtKicker Managed to talk the missus into buying me a brand new Buttkicker Gamer 2 for my birthday last year, it works extremely well on most games, F1 2010 and Simbins Race series prolly work the best along with iRacing and GTR2, basically any games with curbs I feel really well and also get a nice amount of engine vibration from the low burbley cars. On LFS though its pants, no curb feedback and it picks up the bass tones from the wind (??) so shakes according to how fast you are going, even with the wind noise turned down, which is naff, LFS is one of the only race games i play with it turned off (click images for lager size)

| Triple Screens After getting a massive amount of help from Irish Steve, after several phone calls and messages picking his brains about SLI and triple screens, he also very kindly sold me exactly what i needed in the graphics card department, and got me well on the way to a major upgrade. (thanks again bud) I then managed to get a really good deal on 3x 22" LG Flatron factory reconditioned screens from eBay, and so could not resist. The result is astounding, the immersion is immense, its improved both my enjoyment and i think my capabilities too as i can see MUCH more of the track and hit apexs much more as i can see them earlier. Apologies for the poor quality of pics i wasn't completely down with how my new phone camera worked...

| Well there is a little story behind that mate, they should cost $40 + $10 shipping to UK...
I sent the guy an email asking some stuff, the guy who runs it his name is Randall, i told him i had a birthday coming up and the missus was up for getting me a pair, but this was a couple of months ago, and apparently he wasn't making them at the time, he had some time off to sort some personal issues out. So anyway a couple of weeks ago he replied saying he was back in the business and wanted to know if he had missed my birthday yet, luckily it was almost the same day that it fell on, and so he said he wanted to send me a free pair, as a birthday present! So i filled out all the measurements etc on his site and hey presto, he mailed me the shipping confirmation last Monday saying they would be with me in 5 to 10 days!
I had heard through various websites he was a really nice guy, and this just goes to prove it, he even let me have a full grip sole which he doesn't even offer on the website, its usually front, back or middle. I did offer to contribute towards postage but he wouldn't have none of it, just a thoroughly nice chap
So yeah, in answer to your question bud, i got them for nowt
They look awesome as i usually use slippers to race in but they fall apart to easy and the rear corners get worn away, cant wait to try em on

| A friend and I took a Sunday afternoon, some lumber, saws, and drills and crafted it around this beauty of a 1995 Honda Civic seat. I will post more photos detailing the pedals etc.

Really cool mate, I can only suggest a bigger monitor/lcd tv, going up to 28" or 32" will make a huge difference to your immersion factor... But like the clean design and lightweight structure, great job fella!

| Here's how I have to play - the computer desk in the other room has the wheel mounting at a height that no chair I own would put me at the right height in relation to the wheel. And so I hooked my wheel to this so called entertainment center/cabinet thing in the living room. The only chair I own that gets me to the correct height in relation to the wheel and the pedals is a wobbly bar stool. My back hurts after about 2 minutes of racing and its right in the living room where the kids can bother me and get at my pedals and tear up my wheel or hit my hotkeys during breaks. Been doing it this way ever since I got my wheel December 25 2010 and have hated it from day 1 hehehe. Allways wanted something different but never had any money, also I don't have any tools or craftsmanship skills.
