Ok , myself and Tur8o suffer with the same problem ... it seems to only happen to us between 19:00 and 23:00 UK time . my question to u Iceman is are u running more than 1 computer on your connection ? because if u are this seems to cause a problem within LFS , seems like at peak times it cant handle the packet data transfer ... wot i have to do to get a stable connection is to disconnect tur8o's PC from my network and then reboot my hub , then hey presto i can stay connected no prob's ... if i leave his PC plugged into the hub my connection keeps on dropping out . having said all that tho it only happens on busy servers ie: servers that have 20 or more people connected , if u dont have 2 PC's connected then just try the hub reboot if u havent tried it already and let us know how u get on ok biggrin

If anyone is having problems with a router then the first thing to try is to check whether the firmware needs upgrading, is usually the root of most problems...
Might be worth a check

Yup ok m8 ... when or if it happens again try wot i said unplug his pc from the network then reboot the hub , might be worth giving wot Chop suggested a go as well .

For the record ours has been dropping out for about 4 months , it makes me well mad angry

Yes this is why i believe it is a problem within LFS servers , cos i also have no probs on a quiet server , but on a busy one like ours i have to do wot i said in my first post on this thread ... if i dont do that then i cant hold the connection sad

Ok can you not go into the router/hub settings and define an internal IP for each machine on the network...
e.g.
Main Pc = 192.168.0.2
Secondary PC = 192.168.0.3
Third PC = 192.168.0.4
etc

This would take the worry away from the router about what IP to assign each pooter and hopefully make it more stable...?
Easy remedy might be worth a try if the firmware upgrade failed
I have 4 pcs hardwired to my router and 2 wireless devices (laptop and phone), total 6 devices running through router, hardly ever get drop outs, maybe once a month, although i used to get lots until i upgraded router firmware (it was an option inside router config).

maybe write something on Lfs forums?

On other servers with much ppl there isnt any problem, its only at AMG servers-.-

No its not just our servers , its any server that has a lot of people on ... more than say 25 . we get our servers from 500servers so its not an [AMG] server problem , i went onto a cruise server the other night just cos there was more than 30 people on it and guess wot .... yup same problem angry

I think i might just move house it'll be easier in the long run wacko

it's similar on other UK servers, akm for example, especialy if there's alot of ppl racing there.

I don't think it's net problem coz I"m using upc 25mb net wich is one of most popular in our country and I don't know any1 else who has such problems with it

Ok Wuza , i had similar problem as you know ... but i've finally fixed it after 6 months . like you Ryan and me couldn't hold onto our internet connection if we went onto a busy server , i tried everything i could think of to sort it ... but no luck . then the other week Ryans PC broke totally so i took it to my m8s shop , and after fitting a new power supply he suggested that i do a total reinstall of windows because he had come across this problem before . anyway after the reinstall was done that was it , no more loss of connection ... we can both now stay connected to the server no problem . i hope this helps m8

It helped me, reinstalled windows xp bout 4 days again and my problems are gone now.

I think my problem was that my mainboard isnt running pretty good with windows 7.

Now after i made all new, it works fine for me biggrin
